Participating in the Hamiota Collegiate student council provides students with
the opportunity to develop their decision-making and leadership skills. The aim
of the council is to support the student body through both fun and meaningful
activities. Fulfilling the responsibilities that come with being a council
member earn students the respect and recognition from the staff, students and
community.

Duties:
To call all meetings and to conduct the same according to parliamentary procedure
To be an ex-officio member of all societies and to be a member of and allowed to attend all committees
To represent the student body in public functions pertaining to the students to keep the student body informed about Council business

To keep an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures of the Council
To supervise the collection of all revenues
To have a completed deposit sheet and to roll and count all funds, listing sources of cash, cheques etc
To transfer all funds and deposit sheets to school office for deposit
To give a weekly balance report

Room Reps
Room Representatives attend all meetings, serve on committees, keep
records of events, and report student council activities to their homerooms.
They also bring in ideas and concerns from their peers.
